Privacy Policy for aitell.me
This Privacy Policy explains how aitell.me handles information when you browse the website, upload an image for analysis, view results or contact us regarding the service.
1. Scope and operator
This Privacy Policy applies to the website and analysis service offered under the aitell.me domain. For purposes of this policy, the service is operated by MWX Apps. References to “we,” “our,” and “us” mean MWX Apps and aitell.me.
This policy applies to the public-facing website, the analyzer interface, the legal pages and any support communications relating to those properties. It does not automatically govern third-party websites or services that may link to or from this site.
2. Core privacy position
aitell.me is designed to keep uploaded content handling narrow and task-bound. We do not present the service as a social gallery, user cloud storage platform or permanent hosting service for uploaded images.
For the web experience, uploaded images are transmitted to our server for analysis. This is different from the Android app’s offline processing model. Because the website performs server-side analysis, a temporary copy of the uploaded file exists during processing.
3. Information we process
Depending on how you use the service, we may process the following categories of information:
- Uploaded image files that you explicitly submit for analysis.
- Analysis parameters such as threshold or boost values when those controls are exposed to the user interface.
- Derived analysis results such as confidence, metadata findings, lighting, texture or other report signals returned by the classifier.
- Technical request data such as request path, error details, rate-limit events, browser network metadata and similar operational diagnostics.
- Support communications if you email us voluntarily.
4. How uploaded images are handled
When you upload an image through the web analyzer, the image is sent to the server over the network for processing. The server validates the file type and file size, writes the upload to a temporary directory, performs analysis and then deletes the temporary file after the response is generated.
This means the website is not an offline-only product. It also means the website should not be used to upload material if you are unwilling to transmit that image to the service for temporary processing.
We do not describe these uploads as a permanent image library. The intended product model is transient analysis, not long-term storage.
5. Operational logs and service diagnostics
The backend uses request logging, error handling and rate limiting for security and service stability. Operational logs may contain information such as API routes accessed, timestamps, generated temporary filenames, file size, request outcomes and error traces.
These logs are used for debugging, abuse detection, performance tuning, service integrity and incident response. We do not market the service as analytics-free on the web because operational logging is part of how the backend runs safely.
6. What we do not present this service as doing
- We do not present the website as a permanent hosting service for uploaded images.
- We do not state that the service provides perfect detection or guaranteed truth.
- We do not state that the web analyzer is fully offline.
- We do not state that confidence scores are equivalent to legal proof or expert testimony.
7. Legal bases and reasons for processing
We process uploaded files and technical data because doing so is necessary to provide the analyzer that you requested, protect the service from abuse, maintain security, investigate failures and improve service reliability.
Where applicable under local law, our processing may rely on contractual necessity, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, compliance obligations and your voluntary submission of information.
8. Cookies, local storage and similar technologies
The current website uses local storage to preserve your selected visual theme between visits. We may also use standard web platform capabilities that are required to deliver the site securely and efficiently.
If additional cookie-dependent features are introduced later, this policy may be updated to reflect those changes. At the time of writing, the clearly observable browser-side persistence on the frontend is the saved theme preference.
9. Third parties and infrastructure
We may rely on infrastructure, hosting, CDN, security or other technical providers to make the website available. Those providers may process data on our behalf as part of providing their services. We do not treat those subprocessors as licensees to use your uploaded content for unrelated purposes merely because they provide infrastructure.
Third-party sites linked from the website, including documentation or social destinations, operate under their own terms and privacy notices.
10. Retention
Uploaded image files are intended to be deleted after analysis is completed. Operational logs, support emails and similar administrative records may be retained for longer periods where reasonably necessary for debugging, abuse prevention, legal compliance, security or dispute resolution.
We may also retain de-identified or aggregate operational information where permitted by law and where it no longer reasonably identifies a specific user or uploaded file.
11. Security
We use technical and organizational measures intended to reduce risk, including input validation, file-size limits, restricted accepted file types, rate limiting, error handling and standard web security headers. No internet-facing service can guarantee absolute security, and you should use appropriate discretion when deciding which images to upload.
12. International use
aitell.me may be accessed from multiple jurisdictions. Depending on where the infrastructure is located and where requests are routed, information may be processed in a different country from the one in which you are located.
13. Children’s privacy
The website is not intentionally designed for unsupervised use by young children. If you believe that personal information relating to a child has been submitted through the service without appropriate authority, contact us so we can review the situation.
14. Your choices and rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding access, deletion, correction, objection, restriction or portability. Those rights are not absolute and may depend on the legal basis for processing, security needs and record-keeping obligations.
Because the site is not structured as a user account system, some requests may require reasonable verification and may be limited by the practical inability to map anonymous browser activity back to a specific person.
15. Changes to this policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date of the policy and publish the revised version on the website. Material changes may also be highlighted through the site or other reasonable notice methods.
16. Contact
Privacy questions may be sent to privacy@aitell.me. General support requests may be sent to support@aitell.me. Legal notices may be sent to legal@aitell.me.
